Ankle boots

Ankle boots (a.k.a booties) are one of the freshest looks in footwear; they have the power to transform an ordinary little black dress into something new and trendy. However. Ankle boots are not the easiest look to carry off because you are dealing with entirely new proportions (and that makes it a little tricky.)

For example, while a chunky ankle boot looks great with an above-the-knee skirt, it looks clunky with a mid-calf length skirt. And the more elements the bootie has (peep-toe, buckles, chunky heel) the more difficult it becomes to work it into your look.
